Is IB too unrealistic for me to recruit post MBA?

Non-traditional background.

No business/finance experience but a lot of industry experience in a coverage group I would want to recruit for (with a unique story/twist on why I'm very passionate about it). I'm not a URM/diversity/female. US citizen, not an international.

Got into a T25 school. Have a decent GRE (above the schools average but not a 320+). ~10% class goes into IB.

Is IB unrealistic for me? And if it's still possible, what are some good tips to go about pre-MBA prep before campus?

P.S. My job function/industry in this post is not at all related to what I do, just posting it this way to keep anonymiity.

Fuck whoever tells you that you can't. Network your damn ass off, study for interviews and make it happen. You have no excuse to not be the most prepared interviewee, even if your resume/background isn't the "cream of the crop."

This feels like Carnegie Mellon Tepper.

Almost no-one who recruits Post-MBA has a fully finance background. Just network your ass off and have your story / why banking down pat. Obviously you'll have less choice than the people from Wharton/CBS/Booth but you'll have a good shot.
