Is it possible to move from Asia to the US?

I see a lot of discussions on moving from the US to Asia but couldn't find one vice versa, so here I am.

I am currently an international student studying in the US with a SA offer at one of the large AM firms in HK/SG (think BlackRock, Fidelity, etc). While I would gladly take the offer if I can convert this SA to FT, I am also concerned that starting my career in Asia would limit my opportunity to come back to the US.

Wondering if anyone can share their experience making a transition to the US from another region. (Is it possible to move back within 4 years if I want to come back to the US? If not, when is the optimal time to make the transition? Is an MBA required for such move?)

My man - have been hearing this argument too. Care to elaborate?

The US is expensive and overrated, the cities besides NYC and Chicago suck (but these are cold af), the women are obese, healthcare is expensive, politics are crazy, and adjusted for PPP you’re probably making about the same anyways.

I used to do Asia-Pacific PE (kind of like FoF). Now I do something else but happy to try and answer questions on that stuff.
