Is it too late for recruiting

Currently a rising junior at a semi-target. What could I do possible break into a summer analyst role for 2023? For the record, I've networked and landed some referrals but nothing crazy. Also noted that my GPA isn't exactly the best (it's completely my fault). Anything will be appreciated.

Yup... you are definitely late. Had you applied early, I’m sure your chances would have been higher (especially given your low GPA and non-target school).

I’m curious to know how low your GPA is. For a lower BB like Citi, they clearly state that it should be a minimum of 3.3.

Either way, still apply to those that are open. You never know what could happen. Your odds might be higher if you had a good internship this summer.

Regarding networking, these people on LinkedIn get so many requests… you should aim to stand out and be memorable. If being memorable means requesting a one-on-one call, you should do it. But I don’t know what they’d think given your pretty late at this point.

Hope everything works out for you.

there are several forums like this each year with plenty of advice - would recommend looking to them
