Is it too late to find an internship now?

Question

I've been trying to look for internships all Spring but nothing has helped. Is there still a chance? And if so, what should I pursue? I'm a rising junior at a target with a 3.7 GPA and previous internships but none in the finance industry.

You are the tiniest bit late if only because people have already started networking since the beginning of the year. But no worries, a lot of the accelerated offers are for either diversity candidates or top candidates. On one hand, normal superdays are going to be competitive because there are less spots open but on the other hand, a lot of the top-notch candidates were put into direct competition with each other already and won't be at your potential superday.

Too Late for Corp Fin Internships? (Originally Posted: 11/17/2014)

So I currently attend a no-name school. I am majoring in Finance and have been applying to basically every F100 corporate finance internship I can find.
I have not yet heard back from any of them. Does anyone know what the situation might be? Like if selections have already been made and I just wasn't selected, or if they have yet to make selections, etc.
Assuming I do not land an internship for next summer, does anyone have any advice for the best resume-building way to spend the summer before my senior year?

forget about applying online.

your best bet is to reach out to the most senior possible at small hedge funds/ PE/ VC funds. be aggressive and show some balls - senior people love that, esp at hedge funds regardless of size. if you decide to take the hedge fund route have 2-3 detailed/ contrarian trade ideas ready. help a seed stage VC fund source a deal. do something creative and you will stand out.

Too late for internship this summer/ will it hurt me? (Originally Posted: 04/19/2011)

I am a freshman currently studying abroad. I have had the opportunity to work at Barclays PLC in London for the past 6 weeks in their group finance division. While this has been really rewarding I have been looking for work for this summer back in DC where I am from.

At this point I have not contacted any firms. I have been looking into some regional boutiques but is it too late for this?
