Is it worth reaching out again

I had a brief HR meeting on the two thursdays ago and I was told about a potential first round in 1-2 weeks. I didn’t hear anything last week but I also told the ppl I interviewed with that I was on spring break last week. Should I reach out again this week or wait until this week has passed?

Maybe - I have networked with people before and they have told me to stay front of mind with hr. These are for small firms, I don't think there is a 100% answer to this -  but you can always make the net bigger and find other places to network / cold call / apply. I think its important to have a lot of things going at once tho so if something falls threw you still have either more interviews or people in the network to ask for something or referring you for something.

Things take time to develop though. I have also had someone get back to me 2 months after I emailed him (Boston guy). I am trying to find immediate hires personally that would be nice for me, just a faster process etc. If you want to work there its not a bad idea to show your continued interest in them if they are a smaller firm and aren't hostile people. But if you think HR didn't like you or something I would move on bc it has to be mutual for them to want to hire you (you like the company, they like you etc)

For context they said to look forward to staying in touch in my thank you email. Tbh I’ve grown serious trust issues during recruiting lol and idk if they genuinely mean it or just being nice. Any help would be appreciated

Sounds good—would u recommend reaching out again this week, preferably earlier? It is smaller firm that I’m talking abt
