Is this a front office job?

Hi, I've been a long time lurker, and in fact I've registered for quite some time as well, just that I never had a particular reason to post.

Anyway from the descriptions can anyone tell me if this opening is for front office or otherwise?

Department : Global Sales, FX & Transaction Banking Unit : Fixed Income Sales Closing Date : Tuesday, 31 Jul 2012

Responsibilities :
Research commentaries on the MYR bond market on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.

Coverage includes MYR, USD regional bonds, foreign currency markets and economic releases.

Analysis and monitoring of the credit profiles of issuers.

Manage the in-house bond index database.

Assists sales in preparing pre-issuance materials for end clients.

Providing market views to internal departments.

Requirements :
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Mathematics from a reputable university

Familiarity with the domestic and international workings of capital markets would be an added advantage

Strong background in financial analysis, modeling and interpretation of financial ratios.

Possess a flair for writing.

Possess conceptual and problem solving skills.

The first few lines sounds like front office, but I can't help but feel as if it's middle office. Any help?

Yeah it's CIMB. I'm tempted to apply, but not entirely sure what the job entails. Currently with one of the big4 DD team, which I could leverage into PE in a few years.
