Is Wall Street Right for Me?
I currently attend Villanova University and am going to be a sophomore in the school of Business, and I have limited experience in business classes and have only taken micro and macro. I've joined societies such as Mergers and Acquisitions and have gone to panels with alumni who work on Wall Street, but I am still unsure if this is something I want to get into.
I've been reading on forums such as WSO about the different fields I can get into and so I wanted some advice on how other people realized that Wall Street was for them and when they made this discovery, and what sort of field they are in.

Try to get an internship. Also connect with alumni.
Keep your GPA high & you should be able to get yourself some decent internships. Unless your positive where you want to work, try to intern in different fields of Finance. IB, PE, HF, Endowment Office, Accounting, PWM, etc..
internships are really the only way to get a "test run". Work hard and secure a SA stint in IBD, S&T, HF, or whatever is a great way to help build your resume. In other words, getting one of these internships and figuring out it is not for you is much better than just avoiding it all together. If you are one of the few fortunate enough to get an opportunity, you might as well take it and go from there.
Another way to do it is to start reaching out to an alumni. I was on a team in college and it was very easy to reach out and learn about different career paths. Use your career center, family, friends and see if you can shadow some people for a day or two.
