JOB OFFER RESCINDED

So heres what happened. I had an offer in tax at a big 4 firm after my internship. My GPA at the time of recruitment was under 3.0 and I got in. Now a semester away from graduating and starting off they decided to rescind my FT offer. I currently carry a 2.7 but I'm not giving up. I always wanted to work in Finance anyways. Im applying and networking as much as I can. Investment banking is my goal. What is a good route for me to get into IB? Am i screwed with my gpa? I have 3 internships on my resume so that is going to help me. Any insight would help.

@"BryceLarkin" @"Discounted Cash Bro" @"Another" No I did not lie on my resume. Cant get it to a 3.0 with it being my last semester, too late. I have had a lot of family issues and deaths so its been hard to stay focused. Life Sucks! I was a transfer student from a community college where I held a 4.0 gpa. So I asked the career services office at my new university and they told me to list that under the community college education part because that was the only thing I had at the time, and as for the university gpa I put not available because when they were doing on campus recruiting it was during the fall semester which was my first semester on campus. I knew from the start that i wanted to work in finance but when such an opportunity like a big4 firm fell in my lap its kind of hard to turn down even if it is in tax. the company name weights more than no company at all. I mean that is my dream to be an IB but what sort of route do i have to take to get there? Are there certain types of financial service industry jobs that i should target? Companies? Do i even have a chance of landing any kind of job with this kind of gpa? This obviously doesn't help my chances of getting into a good b-school for my masters. I'm a fighter and not giving up!!! Just like the movie Pursuit of Happiness "You got a dream... You gotta protect it. People can't do somethin' themselves, they wanna tell you you can't do it. If you want somethin', go get it. Period."

Movie quotes are mostly fortune cookie chicken soup for the soul "wisdom" written by a bunch of screenwriters to mass market crap to the lowest common denominator.

When you're quoting a movie as life inspiration, that's not a good sign.

Those who can, do. Those who can't, post threads about how to do it on WSO.

You're the best.

When you're using a quote from an underdog story that is almost pure fiction (besides the man existing), that's an even worse sign.

Damn it, OP, you are a terrible liar. There is an obvious incongruency in your story that I'm going let someone else call you out on. I'm not going kick you when you're down so you need to go reflect on your situation and then come back and tell us what really happened. Oh, and while you're thinking, you should take a lap or two as well.

this post made me sad

I wish i could shove my dick so far up your dick that it creates a gaping vagina, because that's who you are. Just tell them that you're a ginormous douche-canoe with a gaping vagina. They'll understand.

No offense but you sound really fucking stupid in your posts. I would give up on IBD for now. Get a job. Any job. Then maybe you can get into a top business school at some point and have a fresh start.
