Job Search Help: Fixed Income Portfolio Analyst
Hey all -
Without getting into my background, I'm looking to enter a position as fixed income portfolio(s) analyst. I'm located in New York.
Obviously the above position is pretty broad, but I'm trying to get a good idea of all possible firms that would have a position like this.
While I understand the general market, I'm wondering if someone can provide insight (or a resource) where I can research potential opportunities.
For instance, one potential job I have is at a relatively new insurance/annuity company that is taking over pension plans. As a growing company due to re-allocating these pension plans (although the bonds are mainly governments and some u.s. corps) the portfolio has moderately active portfolio management, which is a plus. Obviously that will become more passive as growth slows - but not necessarily against passive.
What are other (somewhat unknown) companies that have positions similar to what is described above (except can be corps/distressed). I can think of a bank's AM division, Mutual Funds, Credit Hedgefunds but thinking about the lesser discussed funds/divisions is causing a bit of time.
