JPM Securities vs Asset Management

Hey guys, I'm looking into getting an internship in the securities division and am having a tough time differentiating the two groups. Does securities mostly just deal with institutional clients? I'm also wondering what the difference is between the two divisions, how they compare for preparation for ib/st, what exit ops are like, etc. I'm a sophomore and want to know where an internship in JPM securities would rank on the ladder of internahips available for sophs. Thanks a lot
