Junior Looking for SA, need help starting process

Hello, Im currently a junior at what i guess would be described as a target school (non-HYP (or wharton) ivy). Im an economics major with a ~3.4 but not really any experiences in finance but do have leadership experience, TA experience, and a summer job with what I think are some transferable skills, so basically my resume isn't empty.

Ideally I'd really like to do I-banking but I'd be concerned that I'd resume drop at OCR or even a boutiques website and end up without even an interview (though idk exactly how competitive it is out there with my applicant profile). Id also be very interested in Asset Management.

So basically I need advice on what to do starting today. Would it be a complete waste of time to resume drop through say an IB boutique's website? All the major BB's recruit on campus but obviously there is a lot of boutiques that do not (but maybe do at some more regional schools). So how would I go about applying to boutiques with a good chance of them considering my application?

Any and all help is much appreciated, thanks!
