I can tell you why my firm was brought back. Would not be surprised if this line of thinking was far reaching. I've been at my firm a long time and this old world bullshit is a big reason as to why I'm recruiting actively. Remember kids, being loyal to your employer doesn't get you anything.

- They believe everyone is sitting on their couch "playing video games or whatever" and somehow the multiple live files and dozen odd pitches just get magically done. They prefer seeing us at our desks working away

- Not comfortable with working with remote teams. It's somehow easier for some of my MDs to call me at my desk from 15 feet away than call me at my desk which gets forwarded to my cell

That's what your takeaway was from my post? How the fuck are you an associate. The point of my post was this should have not come as a suprise.

For the simple minded, no I don't agree with needing to be in the office. I WFH just fine. But our bosses don't feel that way because again, we don't work for the most forward minded or progressive people.

Can we make the argument that WFH is part of diversity? There are those who identify as employees who work better at WFH vs. those that identify as working better in office ?
