Just got told no more WFH... who else is dealing with this BS?
Who else is being forced to come in with no WFH anymore? What is everyone else being forced to do???

But where
My bb saying same thing("we will change policy soon")
Same my bbc said I have to come into the office.
Why are senior people so obsessed with making everyone return to office
I can tell you why my firm was brought back. Would not be surprised if this line of thinking was far reaching. I've been at my firm a long time and this old world bullshit is a big reason as to why I'm recruiting actively. Remember kids, being loyal to your employer doesn't get you anything.
- They believe everyone is sitting on their couch "playing video games or whatever" and somehow the multiple live files and dozen odd pitches just get magically done. They prefer seeing us at our desks working away
- Not comfortable with working with remote teams. It's somehow easier for some of my MDs to call me at my desk from 15 feet away than call me at my desk which gets forwarded to my cell
Reality is you should have expected no less. It's not like we work for the most progressive of people.
So you agree with us being forced to return? This is just nonsense
That's what your takeaway was from my post? How the fuck are you an associate. The point of my post was this should have not come as a suprise.
For the simple minded, no I don't agree with needing to be in the office. I WFH just fine. But our bosses don't feel that way because again, we don't work for the most forward minded or progressive people.
Nah my man, it’s the hybrid life for us in CF. 2 days WFH, 3 days in the office per week. Complete freedom to set up my schedule.
This is my schedule right now too except my WFH days are set the same each week. I prefer WFH, but I think 100% WFH would get old after a while.
Can we make the argument that WFH is part of diversity? There are those who identify as employees who work better at WFH vs. those that identify as working better in office ?
haha great thinking
I personally just think the ideal banking model should be 2-3 days in and usually atleast 2 days WFH. I think the boomers who are forcing full WFH or only giving a minimum of 1 day are out of their minds if they don't think banking can be learned with just a couple days in office. It's such an outdated way of thinking
