Keeping bridges open after interviewing
I just finished up an interview with an asset manager and didn't get the offer. However they were very nice about it and they said that realistically they liked me a lot but there was just one person who was a fantastic candidate and they only had one spot. However, I want to keep the connection open with some of the analysts I spoke with that I think genuinely liked me- how exactly would I do that?
Just ask if you can keep in touch about jobs in the future, because you really like the company and would like to work there in the future. A sample of what an email to one of those analysts could look like: " Hi [analyst name], just wanted to thank you for taking the time to meet with me and talk. Would we be able to keep in touch regarding future opportunities? I really like [company name], and would love to work there. "
