Laid off and difficulty finding a job

A little bit about me: Non-Target, recently moved to IB and laid off 3 months in the job from a boutique. I been trying to find a job but has been very difficult. Barely any positions open, networking have had little to no response (People would either not respond to coffee chats or just either leave it as read on LinkedIn). I am planning on going to graduate school if I can't find a gig soon enough but does anyone have any tips on how to navigate the process?

Obviously being laid off in this industry and at this time is nothing new, but working in Pubfin means that a lot of my knowledge is not transferrable to corporate side and it makes me less competitive out there.

Also any tips on improving networking and getting chats in person would help, how should I approach the people on LinkedIn.

Thanks, any help appreciated.
