Landing Finance Internship With No Prior Experience for the Fall

Hi all,

I'm a rising sophomore at a semi-target planning on doing biology and finance. I realized I wanted to do IB as a career this summer so I've spent the summer trying to learn as much as a can with finance along with sending a bunch of cold emails/networking. Right now I'm looking for a fall internship at a local PE firm or any bank for that matter just to get some experience. However the only finance related classes I've taken were intro to micro and macroeconomics along with calculus 2. This upcoming semester I am taking accounting. Does anyone know how I can approach these local firms so I can secure an internship? Thanks for the help!
