Planning out my next 6-12 months as I sit as an AN1 at a NYC middle market bank that doesn't place well into the buyside. Wondering if this sequence is possible--to lateral to a larger platform before recruiting for PE.
Furthermore, would this essentially pigeonhole me into 2025 opportunities? I'd imagine off-cycle recruiting immediately after a lateral wouldn't go over too well.
Just looking for some insight from people who've been around the process longer. Thanks!
