Looking for Critiques - Early career MBA
Basic Info: Nontarget undergrad in Finance/Math, MS Finance from a good semi/target, now in Top 10 MBA program in US. Background in Asset Management with a management fast track. worked about 2 years total, full-time, before MBA started. Trying to transition into less analytical subjects such as consulting & marketing
Since my MBA classmates on average has 5+ years experiences (and many have above average experiences), I'm often seen as too young on a paper resume, and the recruiting bots basically ignore me. I did all-networking searches off-campus and found an internship, but I haven't done much networking after securing the summer job, and I wanted to hear your advice on job search / networking in general.
Things I hope to ask for may include: a) how to sell "young" more as an advantage b) how to respond when hiring managers say "you seem smart Blah Blah, but you're really young against other candidates" c) how to get relevant consulting-ish experiences in addition to internship d) what may be your success examples in networking.
Thank you everyone.
