Absolutely they will.
lol no. I think they have bigger fish to fry.
lol
Sorry I haven't worked at a bank before and just want to be thorough. Am I safe in saying the consensus is a resounding no?
Nope. Look at it like this.
You have a: 3.449/4.000 3.45/4.00 3.5/4.0
You're safe.
While I would agree that the OP should be fine, this rounding technique makes no sense. By your logic, you could take it a step further and say:
3.449 = 3.45 = 3.5 = 4
^That's not how you round numbers (although I understand Posse's attempt to back it up if required). Anyways, my thoughts are don't sweat it.
That's literally how someone in GS HCM explained it to me, so that's how I treated my GPA when I made my resume. I understand it isn't mathematically a 3.5, but by her logic, it's sound.
HR aren't known for their quant abilities that's for sure
3.449 is a 3.4 if you round it to one decimal place NOT 3.5
^^ Lol. That's true. 3.449 = 3.450 = 3.4 They'll definitely rescind your offer.
I didn't argue with her. Take it up with her, not me haha.
So a 2.96 becomes a 3.0. Balling!
Round up yor GPA? That is pathetic, and makes you a liar. You can't invent what you didn't earn. By rounding up your GPA, you are basically telling all that you are a cheat. You are turning the 62 you recieved on a quiz and making it 100. You, of course, were going to round it down if it were less, correct? Wow, not a day on the job and already with the unethical behaviour.
OP asked this years before you asked it...he’s probably an MD somewhere or something and I’m sure his 3.449 GPA never held him back in any way
Thanks for reminding me to dig deeper
