Looking to lateral before starting my job

Hi all,

I recently took a FT offer for debt advisory (starting this summer). I want to eventually lateral into an EB restructuring group as an analyst so I’m considering what a healthy timeline would be for networking. Now, I understand that I haven’t started my job yet and that considering leaving before starting is a bad look, but I’m just genuinely curious on what a healthy timeframe for this looks like. Any advice on when I should start reaching out to form connections would be very appreciated. I want to make sure I don’t miss my opportunity if I get one.
