Lost my SA opportunity, need some advice on my options

Good day lads, I was initially due to start my SA stint in the MENA (dubai) IBD coverage group of a mid-tier BB (think BOAML/Citi) but haven't been able to because my Visa application was rejected for arbitrary reasons.

I have totally given up on my MENA goals now and would like to pursue my Rx dreams in europe/uk. i am based in france atm.

my questions are: I still have an offer for an internship in the best big4 Rx house in France where i would get exposure to operational turnarounds and financial restructuring especially on the creditor side. 1) Is this a good platform for applying to SAs in the UK next season ? or should i try to find something in small/mid cap PE ? (no chance in finding anything in large cap at this point in time) 2) how can i leverage my offer ? i got the one spot which was available with a ratio of 1:2500, i feel it should count for something :(

I am more interested in the big Rx shops than the BBs but of course, beggars can't be choosers.

I'll be taking a gap semester.
Do you think the offer i have is a good platform for summer applications or should i look for something else ? ie. small/mid cap PE or small boutique M&A ?
Second, do you think it's too corny to mention that i was offered a summer internship in my resume ?

I'm not the expert on the first question, but do not put that you were offered an internship and didn't do it on your resume by any means.
