LSE Choice

Hey! I’m interested in both economics and anthropology. My grades are not high enough to be fully sure of getting admitted into economics related programmes at LSE. Is it possible to get recruited from non economics programme at LSE (BA/BSc Social Anthropology)? I’ve seen multiple people here say that the programme does not matter that much, but the information is not enough for me to make a decision. Would be better to study Management at Warwick for IB recruitment? Thank you all!

It's certainly possible with a brand name like LSE (although part of LSE's brand name is attached to finance / economics courses - it's not like Oxbridge where the name preceeds the course by so much), but it would be harder. Something like Social Anthropology is a little bit niche to be honest. That said, there are a lot of benefits to being at LSE and being in London (ability to coffee chat / network more easily, and ability to attend a lot more highly targeted society and career events). If you aren't too fussed, try to choose a program a little more biased towards numbers and finance. But hey, this is 3 years where you get to indulge academically in literally anything, so that important too - don't study something you hate. You'll regret it.

What about Economics or similar at somewhere like UCL? Or Economics at Warwick?
