Bump. I find this really difficult too.

Some people say to send them interesting articles about stuff you talked to them about but I just find that awkward.

Looking forward to more suggestions!

Hi! One of the first things in following up with your networking can be as simple as thanking them for your previous discussion and how something they said you found really useful or interesting. Also it may not be completely relevant to your situation but potentially when following up with a connection, add a personal element from your previous discussion with them, even if it is something that feels more casual in your talk with a professional, that personal element will open a more natural way to talk with them going forward and reduce some pressure on you to reach out again whether that's for advice or just to stay in touch!

Hope this helps!

This is pretty good advice! I'll try to incorporate that in future conversations. Although it's probably harder to integrate if you’re just writing via mail or text
