MBA Mutual Fund / Asset Management Recruiting - Internship and Full-Time 2023 / 2024
Wondering what the state of mutual fund recruiting looks like, both from an internship and full-time perspective. I know for the summer of 2023, there was a pretty limited number of internship slots available. For example, Capital Group took 3 or 4 MBA interns globally and MFS took 5 in the US. Does anyone have additional data points?
The return offer rate, from what I've seen, has been terrible. Capital Group is deferring decisions. MFS I believe gave 0/5 return offers. Not sure if MFS was an outlier compared to Fidelity, Wellington, etc. I'm wondering if these firms all grossly overhired interns or if it was industry wide.
Any insights on what that means for full-time MBA recruiting for the class of 2024?
