Mercury Capital Advisors
I'm going in for their superday in a few days for their analyst position and was wondering what to expect; has anyone here interviewed with them? Also, any further info on the firm would be appreciated too
It's PE fundraising. You'll spend most of your time doing due diligence and working on marketing materials (PPT). Don't know much about the interview process but they have a pretty good track record.

Many of the MDs are from Merrill Lynch Private Funds Group--they started up MCA in '09.
Any other information regarding culture, hours, etc would be appreciated.

Is there no need for modeling skills for a capital raising PE firm? Would this position make you one dimensional to sales/ investor relations type roles later on? Do they learn any modeling or analytical skills?
Mercury Capital Advisors is a completely dysfunctional group that is run by 3 partners that do not know how to run a business or manage employees. The turnover rate is 10x that at any other placement agent which reflects the perpetual "re-structurings" that they implement. Do NOT join this firm. It would be a huge professional mistake.
