Military Special Operator to Investment Banking - Advice on Job Search

I have been an active duty Green Beret in the Army for the last 6 years. I exit the military October of 2025 and am trying to get an investment banking role beginning in January of 2026 in either Charlotte or Denver. Can somebody point me in the right direction as to how far out I should start applying for jobs and any networking resources for doing so? With me being an off cycle hire I'm not exactly sure how the process works.

Another question I have is how necessary an IB internship is prior to applying for an analyst position, even with plenty of unique job experience? Should I just wait for Summer 2026 and apply for internships, or will I be able to get an analyst job lined up in January directly out of the military? I appreciate any advice in advance!
