Millennium Quantitative Analyst Technical Assessment
Just got invited to complete technical assessment for the role of Quantitative Research Intern and to take the Quantitative Analyst Technical Assessment. Has any of you taken this? What can I expect difficulty wise? What do I prepare? Thank you in advance for all the help!
Edit: Took the hackerrank test. It was 8 questions. 4 of which were MCQs based on statistics and probability. The other 4 were questions related to coding. 2 of which were related to pandas, the other 2 were generic mid level leetcode. I'm confident in the MCQs but I kinda bombed the coding part. Don't know if they only look at if the code runs or the process even if it didn't. Will keep posted on what happens next.
Hi EscapingAlpha, just trying to help:
More suggestions...
Hope that helps.
Hey, I took the same test last Saturday, and got results similar to what you're describing: did well on the MCQs but did not have time to finish the coding part. I honestly don't know how many people will get to finish the coding part, as I only took about 15 minutes to finish the MCQs and still did not think the remaining time was enough. But anyway, hoping for the best here!
Did you hear back from them since?
No, not yet! It' been only a few days since I've taken the test, so I hope that's the reason why I haven't heard back yet :p
Which specific questions were they, from Leetcode/topics?
Like I said, two of them were 'pandas' questions, you need to manipulate the dataframe into what they want. The other two medium leetcode questions, one was about calculating share price, don't remember the exact question, the other was a modified version of FizzBuzz iirc.
how many of the coding questions were people able to answer?
I can't speak for others but, the pandas questions I got really close to the final answer. As for the fizzbuzz, I did that half way and the share price question I did it so-so. I attempted everything.
Did anyone hear back after the assessment? Do you know how many interviews there are?
Hi, I did the test as well, was able to finish all coding and MCQ, I received a first round with an analyst. Has anyone done this and does anyone know how many further rounds are in the process?
any updates?
