Mixed Interview, need thoughts

I had two 30 minute interviews today, the format was two people from the firm for each interview. The first interview went pretty damn average as the two guys (2 VPs) were in a bad mood, and were overall giving bad vibes. The second interview (1 Director / 1 AN) was a home run type of interview, loved my story, background, gave great answers all around, it was a great fit (lots of laughing and smiles).

In my opinion the first set of interviewers will probably not push me for a second round (or will be pretty iffy on it at best), but the second set of interviewers definitely would.

If you have one set saying the candidate was great and the other saying they were meh. What are my chances at this point for moving forward to the second round?

TIA

I don’t blame you for asking this because you’re stressed out and recruiting is a black box. But I promise no response will help you in any way.

every recruiting process is comprised of different people with unique preferences, personalities, levels of influence, and selection processes. No one can speak to your specific process except one of your interviewers.

also, anything you hear won’t impact the outcome obviously.

the rational move is to focus on other processes. Stoicism is underrated
