Move forward an interview?
For context, I'm a sophomore who's trying to look for an intern. I did some networking and a manager from a pretty good boutique bank from my country said that they will give me an interview but will do it a little bit closer to my internship period (June) which they will do it at around April-May. I am really interested in the position and if I end up not getting an offer I would like to quickly search another opportunity. Is it ethical to ask the manager to move forward my interview?
Just recruit for other places until you have your interview in April or May.
What if I got an offer at another firm but haven't done the interview for my 1st choice?
Tell your first choice you got an offer and you want to expedite when / if you cross that bridge
