Need Advice — IB No Associate Offer

Hey Monkeys. Currently in a dilemma and not know what to do.

Currently at an IB BB and due to the firm not doing so well, team did not offer return offers after the 2 years.

Given the terrible lateral market right now, I’m worried if it will look bad if there’s gap on my resume or will that make firms less likely to engage given that I would be unemployed?

First time going through this so would love some inputs for older folks or anyone with similar experience
