Need advice. Recruiting culture in Atlanta?-Looking to make a move.

Hey Monkeys,

Situation: I've been applying and cold LinkedIn messaging and emailing people as I'm interesting in moving into other areas of alternatives with a size less than 250 people. I kind of felt the vibe that people are very distant around here and obviously opportunities are smaller. What is the usual custom around here when it comes to recruiting? Linkedin, conferences, events, associations, etc?

Progress: I'm getting around a 10% chance of cold replies, used different approaches from bold to generic touches. Had over 20 interviews from conventional applications. Since the demand for jobs are very high right now might not be a sustainable approach. Without personally knowing someone in the backdoor, there's always a chance for a more qualified candidate to me. I did not come from a target or state school around here so finding common ground is hard.

Info about me:

Currently at my job as a 2nd year Analyst in a family office less than 10 people touch areas of public portfolio, CRE (Offices) and Early Stage VC. I came from a very unconventional background from high school IBD internships (I grew up in queens), Government Contracts internships, had a business while in college where I cashed out after a year, around 6 months being an accountant and fortunate to land in my current role. Attended a technical university in Florida (I had a scholarship with ROTC but did not workout)
