Need help finding a RE job in Boston. Any advise?

Quick background, I currently live/work in NYC and work as director at a consulting shop focusing on real estate restructuring and real estate valuations (2.5 years), prior to that I was at a small shop in Boston that invested in distressed debt and i handled the underwriting and asset management (4.5 years). Academically, I went to Boston University and got my certificate in real estate finance there as well.

I want to move back to Boston but I’m really struggling getting interviews and even finding opportunities. I have a good handle on who the big equity players and developers are but does anyone know of any companies on the credit side (non banks) and any opportunistic investors? Also what suggestions do people have that would help land a job in this market? Applying online and cold emails hasn’t gotten me anywhere. Thank you!
