Need help internship wise

Hi all,

I am a freshman in Dallas studying finance. I hope to break into IB and have so far gotten two internship opportunities. One is a CRE brokerage firm where I would mostly be trying to find clients, and the pay structure is commission based. The other is a consulting group that specializes in both buy/sell-side M&A. In the beginning, I would be on the business development side also working for a small commission in the case of landing a client. I'm not sure how these types of internships usually go, but the cold-call/email aspect doesn't really entice me. If these are the norm (Commission, bring in clients) then I will bite the bullet. I also understand that I am young and don't have any experience so maybe that's the only thing we interns can do. If anyone has any insight on this, it would be appreciated.
