Networking - Finding people to cold email

I've been networking pretty hard on LinkedIn to eventually land an internship in commercial banking. However, I'm running out of alumni to email, so where should I go from here? Should I keep searching on LinkedIn for non-alumni and email all of those?

A lot of the companies I'm looking at aren't on the WSO database, so how would I go about figuring out the company email format so I can email people that won't add me on LinkedIn? Is there anything else I can do besides these strategies? Thanks

In relation to the first paragraph, I would attempt to connect with people at firms that you are considering for the future. If they aren't accepting your request they are either too busy that they never check LinkedIn or they will not accept because they don't know you at all. Something I have realized through my own networking strategy is that 9 times out of 10, people will be more likely to accept your invitation to connect if you are at least a "2nd connection" versus being some random 3rd connection. Therefore when those 2nd connection people accept you, you will have the opportunity to contact them as usually they have their email and sometimes phone number listed on their profile. Use this to get in touch with them.

This might sound dumb, but have you gone to the actual company website, go to the team page and check for emails there? Because they should have an email listed as well as their LinkedIn there as well.

Check out this thread too in regards to commercial banking, I think you will find it helpful: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/commercial-banking-svp-ask-me-an…
