Networking for Placement Day?

Hi everyone,

I'm really interested in a specific group and have been pretty stressed about placement day as I know this group accepts only a few interns (given its small size as a group). I spoke to the MD in March that mentioned he'd pull me on some of their deals, and later connected me with a VP in April after I got my offer. I haven't spoken to them since and was wondering if I should reach out to them this month and give them an update now that I'm interning for the school year in a similar industry, or how I can leverage those connections later on. Any advice on how to approach this prior to placement day next spring would be really helpful!
