networking importance
is it worth cold applying to '25 analyst programs without networking at the firm first? any specific firms where networking is 100% necessary, or where it doesn't matter?
If you just cold apply you will with almost 100% certainty never hear back. It's equivalent to tossing your resume in a black hole. Sorry, you have to network everywhere (and start soon as response rates will dip significantly in the spring given how many people reach out then)
The one exception is Centerview which has a no unsolicited emails policy. But they are extremely competitive to get into.
