No Headcount for FT... Now what?
So I have just been told that there is no chance of a FT offer from my summer internship this summer. Having just graduated my masters programme, I am now wondering wtf to do. Obviously I will still work to my best during the internship, but where do I go now? Back into FT recruiting for a start next year? Try and find a new job? (I've had a good look and there isn't much around atm).
Do I just take a shit paying job to keep me going until I find something else? Feels like a bit of a kick in the teeth given how I've already funded myself through four years of university in the hope of landing a FT role... I guess my head is now a little scrambled.
Don't give up, do your best and prepare to recruit for FT. You never know, the job market might get better sooner than you think and if you perform well in your internship they might just give you a chance. Good luck and keep working hard!! You didn't come so far for nothing
Network with other team to see if they have any headcount - you might get lucky.
