No job yet. Alternatives????

So I am from a non target and I am a senior graduating in May with a ton of great experiences and internships. I have been networking my butt off and have had several informational interviews with people I have met, but nothing has seemed to pan out from the banks/trading firms. At this point I am even looking at Internships as a way to get my foot in the door.

But I was just wondering, how good does it look to have volunteer work on my resume? Are there any prestigious volunteer groups that I might be able to apply for that would look good?

Any thoughts/comments would be great.

Thanks.

If you live in a major metro area, look for unpaid internships at boutique i-banks (might need to press people to create positions for you). Like volunteering you'll make no money but the experience you get will directly tie in to what you want to do.

"Yes. Money has been a little bit tight lately, but at the end of my life, when I'm sitting on my yacht, am I gonna be thinking about how much money I have? No. I'm gonna be thinking about how many friends I have and my children and my comedy albums."
