Defo seen, networking isn’t reaaally a thing in London

londoner here. from the way the yanks on here talk about networking, it is not the same thing as in the uk.
from my experience with IB interviews, networking will hopefully give you a slightly better understanding of the specific team or product that you're interviewing for and a namedrop in the interview ("i spoke with X about the team and thought Y sounded really interesting", etc).

Wonder then how do I increase my chances of getting interviews as a non-target here.
