Noob Research Question Relating to Salary Expectation

Hey all,

Very new on the forum. I suspect I'll be interviewing shortly (in Canada) for a first year research role and need to know what my salary expectations, bonus, and signing bonus (if any) should be.

I've been in employed for 4 years to date in the energy sector in various development roles and am not sure if my experience in this capacity will help at all compared to someone just out of school?

Thanks.

there's huge demand for energy analysts right now. if you have finance experience and energy experience you could potentially command a huge salary

What do you mean by "development roles"? Can you be more specific about the experience you'd be bringing to this firm?

My role is not very standard. It involved developing and carrying out commodity hedges for various clients as well as doing some analytic work and commercial negotiations and papering of other small scale acquisitions.
