I know off the cuff that HL and FT Partners do off-cycles in the US. HL is a 10-week program and they have pretty flexible interviewing schedules.

Most of the structured opportunities I’ve seen have been outside the US. EMEA/APAC big offices I’ve seen have more off-cycle internships. Just wrapped up the process with a BB in London - started in the beginning of the year and did the usual - hirevue, zoom 1st round, super day, and 2 separate final rounds after that. BX London just wrapped recruiting as well - communicated directly with recruiter.

Sure dude. I honestly can’t tell you too much since I’ve only interviewed for one.

However, I’ll say a few things

  1. Yes, I’d say for one unless you have family there or some kind of relationship to there, you’re gonna have to convince them to take you over a native. Literally every interviewer asked me why I was recruiting for London and not NY, which totally makes sense to ask. Especially when you consider the purpose of many of these programs is to convert FT, it makes sense to bring in people with the highest probability of staying with the firm, within reason ofc.
  1. There’s the typical visa stuff as well but big shops will handle that, not as much of an obstacle.
