PE Recruiting from Centerview

How is PE recruiting viewed by Partners/MDs at Centerview? Heard and understand that the firm wants to take analysts that might be interested in banking for the long-run and that recruiting in your first year is frowned upon. But do senior partners help you recruit during your second year if you express interest in PE or do you have to still do it sneakily? Are PE exit opportunities significantly worse than if you come from a Moelis or Lazard, much less a PJT or Evercore?
