GTCR Private Equity Analyst Recruiting
I believe GTCR has taken summer analysts in the past, but does anyone know if they recruit FT analysts (directly from undergrad) outside of intern pipeline?

Yeah they do. Had a friend go through the process but he ended up declining the offer.
Do you know why he declined?
Was your friend a SA, or was he recruiting directly for FT?
This was for a SA role. But he recruited with the understanding that the SA role was a pipeline for a FT analyst spot. He turned it down for a top EB. He thought it was a great opportunity with great b-school placement but I think his reasoning was as follows: he really wanted to be in NY over Chicago, he was pretty confident in his ability to exit to a similar UMM or MF after his banking stint, and he had senior mentors telling him 2 years in banking were a valuable experience over going direct to buyside.
They held an info session a few months ago at my school talking about the program. I believe they just started taking SA and FT analysts last year. I'm pretty sure they said their SA program is the only way to FT there.
do you know how many SA they take?
Don’t know for sure but the number is small like 2-4 kids

Think they recruit at very specific schools; I do not know the extent of all schools, but I know they actively recruit from UVA, UofI, IU, Northwestern, and University of Chicago.
They’re expanding the schools they target. I go school in the Northeast and they came to campus last semester saying that they want to make us a target for the 2021 cycle.
Did anyone here figure out whether they recruit straight for full-time, or just through the summer analyst program?
