Piping Hot Email?
In discussions for a job. I had a written assignment and I think I did very well in it, to the point that a fresh set of eyes next day made me think I didnt even write it.
Anyway, I sent it off, and got an immediate response about how she'll get back to me this week for interview dates.
Nothing so I emailed twice two days later. Got this response:
"I havent had feedback. Please give me some time until next week"
Now, that doesnt sound great too me. Perhaps I was a little pushy. I should say that the recruiter is Indian and based in India for some reason even though the job is NYC (big consulting company).
Any thoughts?
PS - the title is sarcastic for all these 'warm email' threads popping up. Just for those who dont get it.

No, sorry. I initially sent an email with my written assignment. She responded and I thanked her. Then 2 days later, I asked to see if there was some feedback, as she had mentioned interviews may be scheduled for the end of the week so I wanted confirmation to take some time off work. When she didnt respond to that, I emailed her 2 days later again, so in total 3 emails from me in the span of 6 days.
You could have waited longer than two days brah... What did you do, send an email in the morning, and then another later on that day? I think it comes off as impatient, but I think it is evened out by the fact that the guy is in India and you probably already feel some kind of disconnection. Warrented urgency, but I would have waited at least another day personally.
lol at the piping hot comment btw... I'm all for people upping the ridiculous sense of urgency with these types of issues. Especially resumes.. "Destroy This Resume With Reckless Abandon!!" "Sending Tomorrow, Please Tear My Resume To Shreds!!!".. "Updated Resume, Include MM Experience? HELP!!"

Edit: Just read these other details. I guess I made an assumption... I don't think that was unreasonable, esp if she said there might be interviews at the end of the week. (And you have work)
Thanks. That's what I was thinking. I mean, I would be pissed if I chose not to email because I expected one instead and they've hired a candidate they interviewed during that time. It happened to a friend of mine, who scheduled an interview and was preparing for the interview, and then was told on the day that they hired someone else already, when he actually fucking got to the firm's office.
