Possible to go from a non-target (Colby/Bates/Middlebury) as international to consulting/IB?

I got into Colby, Bates, and Middlebury as an international from South East Asia, but got waitlisted at several Ivies and Duke. If I don't get off the waitlist, is it possible to pursue consulting/IB from these LACs or is the dream over for me? Has anyone here gone from non-target LAC to IB/consulting? How difficult was it, and what do you think was the most crucial aspect that helped you in getting an offer?
