Preparing For Corporate FX Sales Interview
I have a final round interview coming up for a position as an analyst on a corporate FX desk at a Canadian big 6 bank. I'm wondering what I should expect in terms of potential technicals. The first interview rounds were mostly all behavioural and generic interview questions so I'm expecting this round to be more on the technical side. I have knowledge of basic FX products (swaps, forwards, options etc.) and I've been playing around with the Garman-Kohlhagen options pricing model in excel, but honestly I don't have much knowledge about FX trading strategies and topics of that nature. Will trading strategies be something that could come up in a final round analyst interview, or should I be fine with just generic product knowledge and a detailed macro view of G10 currencies and my outlook on them?
Context: I'm a 2021 grad, now working at a very small boutique M&A firm. I was always more into markets and FICC specifically, but I was brainwashed by this site into thinking IB was the be-all/end-all and now I'm regretting it.
Dm me, can help out here…
