Professional Basketball Player - Lateralling into IB

Hey guys, I played professional basketball overseas for a year after graduating in 2018 and now I'm looking to start my career in investment banking as an entry-level analyst. I went to a non-target school and received my degree in finance while also playing on the basketball team. I took an M&A course in college and also participated in the William Blair Case Competition. I wasn't able to complete any internships due to the basketball workouts we had in the summer.

I started the process of trying to lateral into banking in February and have been doing everything I can with networking & self-study to get in. Any advice on banks in Chicago or NY that have a decent base of athletes working there I should look at? Or any advice on practical things I can do to lateral given the current market condition?

Thanks guys!
