Pulse Check on Current Job Market?
Current A2 at a Big 4 in IT audit here going back to B-School in Fall 2026. I went to a target, but due to family reasons, I had to pause on recruiting and take care of my sick mom, then my sick dad. M&A IB was always my dream, and I hope this reset button pays off and helps me land my dream job.
Scrolling through this forum earlier to get a pulse check on the current job market, and saw that M&A deal activity is up albeit highly concentrated in BBs (https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forum/investment-banking/2026-q1-gs-jpm…). Wanted to start this thread to find out what this means for recruiting.
- How is recruiting impacted if at all?
- It's been a minute since I recruited - am I too late for summer 2027 MBA internship recruiting? If so, what should I do to maximize my chances of getting an internship?
