PwC Valuation vs EY Structured Finance
First post, please forgive disregard for WSO norms.
Offers: PwC Valuation, EY Structured Finance. EY pay is 12% higher than PwC but pay isn't my main consideration. Both start in September.
Considerations 1) Work-Life: Friend of mine says EY, SF is about 75Hr work weeks when busy compared to PwC 65ish hours. Vacation, can you actually take PTO. Seems like PwC promotes vacation in the group. Can't say for EY. 2) Consulting Opps: My goal is to get Consulting experience while at the firm. PwC is merging consulting with valuations but I may not get exposure for a few years. EY consulting and SF seem more distant and that experience may never come. 3) Exit-Opps: What experience is most transferable/most appreciated by companies? Considering PE or Consulting upon exit.
What would you choose? Any advice on these topics or any other words of wisdom is much appreciated!
