"Investment Banking Analyst Intern," and your bullet points ought to specify exactly what type of work you do. The title should reflect the firm and your position, and the bullet points function as a more detailed explanation of the responsibilities you held and duties you performed.
You don't have an official title?
My official title is "intern" according to the job title on the job description haha
Look at your firm's website, if it has different divisions just label your title with the division that youre working in. Like for greenhill's private capital advisory group, label it as "private capital advisory intern."
Otherwise look up some other placement agents on LinkedIn and see what their past interns have used for their titles.
rebump!
I just ended this job, and I am deciding between the following:
Private Equity Research Intern Investment Banking Intern
I know this is such a small detail, but what would pop out to you more? This is basically a placement agent internship, but I know the word "placement agent" has not had a good reputation in the past few years. My current bullet points are quality, I'm just wondering which title would be more eye popping. Or any other suggestions?
