Really interested in a position but can’t get in contact

All,

Currently interested in a lateral position. I’ve sent out exhausting number of LinkedIn connections and cold messages. Can’t find many juniors on the team. Is it okay to send chat requests to VPs and up?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it's absolutely okay to reach out to VPs and above, but you need to be careful with your approach. Here are a few tips:

  1. Be targeted: Don't send the same generic message to everyone. Tailor your message to the person you're reaching out to. Show that you've done your research about them and their role.

  2. Be respectful: Remember, these are busy people. Keep your message concise and to the point.

  3. Be professional: While it's okay to show enthusiasm, avoid coming off as desperate. Maintain a professional tone throughout your message.

  4. Be patient: Don't expect an immediate response. Give them some time to get back to you.

Remember, the goal is to make a connection, not to annoy them. So, tread carefully. Good luck!
